Lucy is my sweet 11-year-old Chihuahua who has been by my side since she was just 9 weeks old. She’s the most gentle little girl, and everyone who meets her comments on her loving nature. Lucy loves to run around the house and play fetch with her favorite stuffed bear, always bringing so much joy to our home.

Yesterday, Lucy had a terrible accident while running through the house and got tripped up on the hall carpet. She fractured her right ulna bone and dislocated her elbow. The vet explained that the best option for her is a leg amputation, as the surgery to repair the break is far beyond what I can afford. Lucy is currently being kept comfortable with pain medication until her surgery on July 28th. Despite this setback, the vet is optimistic about her recovery and says she can still have a wonderful quality of life because she’s otherwise in excellent health.

The funds raised will go directly toward Lucy’s surgery, anesthesia, and medications. I am so grateful for any support that helps Lucy get back to her happy self and continue being part of our little pack with me and our two cats.
