For the past month, the Méndez family has been trying to stay afloat financially, after the family's father, Dionisio, was arrested and deported to Guatemala in August. Now, the mother, Lucy, has become the only one who supports her two children (15 and 2 years old), while she is also pregnant with her third.

Dionisio is in Guatemala, trying to find his place after returning to a country where he has not been for more than 20 years, looking for a job and taking care of his sick mother. When he was in the United States, he was the only provider of his family and his mother.

Before being separated, the Mendez family enjoyed spending time together in the parks, they regularly attended the church where the father was an usher.

Now the children are wondering about their father and when he will return. Lucy faces an uncertain future and financial difficulties while waiting for the birth of her third child.

The purpose of this go fund me is to relieve part of the economic burden of this family and help them while they make their plans for the future.
