Help Lucky with her vet bills?

Donation protected

As most of you know Bridgette and Steve’s  cat Lucky was stolen  January 7 and her family had been diligently searching for her. Through the power of social media the person that stole her was discovered by photos dumping her off in Cedar, miles from her home February 6 and it turned out he was their neighbour. No one knows yet what he had put her through for almost a month, only that she was held on his property.  He then dumped her miles away from where she lives and she was discovered almost a week later on the porch of an amazing womans home. She had  thought Lucky was feral and left her out with a bit of food, but when she woke up the next morning  Lucky was still on her deck curled up starving and sick. Lucky walked several miles and crossed 2 highways following the scent of the fish farm trying to get to food.
Lucky is home now thanks to the Catnap society and so many other amazing people.

Sadly it’s not over though. She is really sick. Bridgette wasn’t even sure it was her at first she was so emaciated and covered in blood and mud.  Luckys kitten that she had been tragically ripped away from on January 7 is also traumatized and won’t go anywhere near her momma. Lucky is a shell of her former self and the vets are very worried. She isn’t able to walk and has several infections.  One vet visit was almost 1500 and there are several more to come. I know we all think the sick person that did this to her should pay, and hopefully eventually he will-but right now the vet bills are going to need to be paid and Bridgette had to cancel clients for work so she can care for Lucky round the clock. If you are in a position to donate, anything will help. This is such a tragic situation that didn’t need to happen and it happened to some of the nicest and most caring people I know. Thank you for reading this and any donation you can help out with is greatly appreciated. The story will be on the news Friday evening, possibly Chek at 5pm.
