My dear friend Lucky sells the homeless newspaper in Amsterdam. Despite barely making ends meet, he still sends a little money to his family back home.

After many hard years as a refugee, Lucky finally has the chance to visit his family again. His father passed away before he could say goodbye, and now his mother’s health is declining.

Because of his situation, Lucky can’t travel directly to his hometown, the journey is long, risky, and expensive. A one-way ticket alone costs around €600, which we’ve already managed to cover together.

Now, we’re raising money for his return ticket and at least two months of rent, so he can stay with his family without losing his small room in Amsterdam, the stability he’s worked so hard to build.

Every contribution, big or small, helps Lukcy come home safely and return without having to start over from scratch.

Mijn lieve vriend Lucky verkoopt de straatkrant in Amsterdam. Ondanks dat hij maar net rondkomt, stuurt hij nog steeds af en toe wat geld naar zijn familie thuis.

Na vele zware jaren als vluchteling heeft Lucky eindelijk de kans om zijn familie weer te zien. Zijn vader is overleden zonder dat hij afscheid kon nemen, en nu gaat het slecht met de gezondheid van zijn moeder.

Door zijn situatie kan Lucky niet rechtstreeks reizen, waardoor de tocht lang, risicovol en duur is. Een enkele reis kost al zo’n €600 — dat bedrag hebben we samen al kunnen betalen.

Nu zamelen we geld in voor zijn retourticket en minimaal twee maanden huur, zodat hij langere tijd bij zijn familie kan blijven zonder zijn kamer in Amsterdam te verliezen, het kleine beetje stabiliteit dat hij hier heeft opgebouwd.

Elke bijdrage, groot of klein, helpt Lucky om zijn familie te zien én daarna terug te keren zonder opnieuw van nul te hoeven beginnen.
