Help Lucindo Heal

On the February 28th, 2020 my brother Lucindo Gable was in an accident that left him with burns on 25% of his body. His left hand and leg are covered in 2nd and 3rd degree burns. Quickly after arriving to the Emergency Room he was flown down to the Bothin Burn Center at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital. Where he will remain until he heals. 

This past week he has received two skin graft surgeries. One using artificial skin. The procedure was unsuccessful. Yesterday they did a second surgery using donor skin from his rightleg and we are praying that is was a successful surgery but at this time the prognosis is unknown. 

At this point it is detrimental that a family member can be with him at all times not only to keep him company and make sure he stays mentally healthy but to advocate for him and help him out. The nurses and doctors in the burn unit have told us having a family member be with him will help him heal. Unfortunately since a burn unit is such a sterile place they don’t allow a family member to stay with him in his room so our parents have been staying at a motel a few blocks away from the hospital. 

This accident has left our family in a financial hardship due to missing work to be with Lucindo.

We are unsure how long his stay will be but have been told he will be in the hospital for a while. We could use your support in anyway possible! All prayers and donations are appreciated we love our community and we have felt your love during this difficult time.
