I’m Lucian Paige, and I’m starting this fundraiser for myself and my family after losing my job without warning. In the middle of the workday, around 10:30 in the morning, my supervisor told me I was being terminated because his boss said the company did not want to go to court over an incident that happened at the store I was managing. The loss of my income was immediate, and for someone already living paycheck to paycheck, that sudden change has been devastating. I was working hard to provide stability for my household, and overnight that security was taken away.
Right now, these funds will help cover the basic needs my family depends on, including food, shelter, laundry, and electricity, while I work to recover from this setback and rebuild my career. These are not one-time pressures. The bills and household needs continue week after week, even though my paycheck stopped all at once. Predictable support, including recurring donations, would help me keep up with those ongoing essentials as I work toward stability again. One-time donations would also mean so much and help relieve some of the immediate pressure we are facing.
I truly believe I was not terminated justly, and I am doing my best to move forward through a very difficult time. If you are able to help, whether by donating once, giving recurring support, or simply sharing this fundraiser, I would be deeply grateful. Your support will help my family hold on to the basics and give me the breathing room I need to keep going and work toward getting my career back on track.
