On Monday, June 1, our dear friend Michael Moore was taken from this world in a violent and senseless act. Michael’s life was tragically cut short, leaving behind the person he loved most—his 7-year-old son, Lucian Moore. Michael was Lucian’s sole caretaker, provider, and constant source of love and support. In the wake of this unimaginable tragedy, Lucian is now facing a future without the parent who raised him, protected him, and devoted his life to him. Because Lucian’s mother was previously estranged, this heartbreaking loss has left him effectively orphaned and navigating circumstances no child should ever have to endure.

As family, friends, and community members come together to support Lucian, we are establishing this GoFundMe to help provide for his immediate and long-term needs. Donations will help ensure that Lucian has access to stable care, counseling and trauma support, educational opportunities, daily living expenses, and resources that will help him heal and build a secure future.
