Hello, my name is Marcia Holmes. I have known Lucia since I was 8 years old back in my city of Trujillo, Peru.

Lucia relocated to the USA in Virginia a few years later .

She had just rented a little house in Dale City, Virginia, where she was living with her younger daughter Ashley. The night of August 16, 2025, while being out of the house running errands in the evening, the house caught on fire.

Lucia and Ashley lost everything, and one of their cats died.

You can’t imagine their despair upon arrival to see the house and the firemen trying to cease the fire.

They are actually homeless and trying to find a place to live.

Lucia is dedicated to her daughter as a full time caregiver to Ashley who has Down syndrome . Both of them are women full of faith and love.

We are trying to find for them a new place to live and a safe environment in order for both of them to feel secure.
