My name is James Turner, and I am a disabled veteran living on a very limited income. My service dog, Luci, is only two years old, but she has already made a huge difference in my life. Luci helps me manage my PTSD every day—she can sense when I’m having a bad day and is always there to comfort me and keep me grounded. Her support means the world to me, and I can’t imagine life without her.

Recently, Luci began showing signs that something might be wrong, and her veterinarian has recommended a CT scan to find out what’s going on. The cost of this scan, along with any treatment she may need, is more than I can afford right now. I want to do everything I can to make sure Luci gets the care she needs so she can continue to be by my side and help me through the challenges I face.
