Help Lucelys Recover from Traumatic Brain Injury
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
This is Anderson Bridge, and on behalf of Lucelys Gonzalez, I am writing to humbly request support in assisting her after a traumatic brain injury from a bike accident. Lucelys Gonzalez was involved in a severe Citibike accident on September 26, 2021, when an uninsured driver recklessly hit her with his vehicle. She was hospitalized for four months after sustaining traumatic brain injuries. After two surgeries, Lucelys is currently on her long road to recovery. A metal piece was placed to account for the brain part that was seriously injured. She has been unable to return to the classroom to support her students as she is still receiving physical, orientational, neurology, and speech therapy.
Lucelys was a kind and patient teacher who loved working with kids. Unfortunately, Lucelys lost her full-time career in teaching after the accident. As a result of her injuries, she can no longer earn an income or leave her home unsupervised. This combined with medical expenses from her accident is resulting in significant financial hardship for her and her family.
This fundraiser was created as a means to help mitigate the financial burden she now faces as a result of this accident. These funds will go towards paying her health expenses and debts that have accumulated as a result of not being able to return to work.
We are looking for the community's help and support in any way possible. Anything you can offer Lucelys is greatly appreciated. We are also asking for as many prayers as possible for her recovery and family to get through this difficult time.
Please consider donating (anything helps) or sharing this fundraiser on your social media accounts to spread the word. We appreciate any support you can offer her during this time. Thank you.
