Help Lucas's Family Stay Close During Crisis

On November 21st, Lucas was admitted to the hospital with Epstein-Barr virus and was then diagnosed with HLH. He has fought a hard battle at Mary Bridge, but this morning, we were told his heart was failing. He was intubated and put on a life-saving therapy called ECMO. He has been transferred to Seattle Children’s Hospital for more specialized care.

With the move to Seattle, our family and supporters are trying to figure out how to balance being there for Lucas, work, and home life. Seattle Children’s is about an hour and fifteen minutes away from our homes in Puyallup and Tacoma. With only one person being able to stay overnight, we are hoping to get support for food, gas, and maybe lodging so we can stay close by.

We know with the holidays, everyone is strapped for cash, but we honestly welcome any support we can get during this difficult time.
