Hello, I am Lucas' sister as many of you are aware, my brother previously battled testicular cancer, undergoing successful surgery to remove the mass. However, his health has since declined, prompting numerous tests, scans, and blood work to determine the cause. Fortunately, while in Texas, he received a diagnosis. The findings indicate three cancerous masses in his lungs, a sizable 5-inch cancerous mass surrounding his aorta, which is causing kidney issues due to impaired drainage. Moreover, multiple blood clots are present, and the use of blood thinners precludes the insertion of a stent to support his kidneys. As of this evening, June 17, 2025, we have received a diagnosis from his biopsy, and his treatment plan is being formulated. The diagnosis reveals that the same type of cancer has resurfaced and spread. Tomorrow, further testing on his lungs is scheduled, and a port will be inserted. He will undergo chemotherapy five days a week for either 9 to 12 weeks, depending on the lung test results, with possible cycles every three weeks. We will obtain more information by the end of this week.
Lucas is currently in Dallas, Texas, and is going to be off work for a while. We want to help out with any expenses we can, as the drive from their house to the hospital is about 45 minutes one way. Lucas has a 10-year-old son, and he and Lexi have just brought a baby girl into the world four months ago.
Thank you all for your prayers, love, and support. We serve a mighty God and are giving it all to Him.
