Lucas is 12 years old — thoughtful, kind, and full of quiet strength. He has a bit of anxiety but is an honor student who’s been invited to join a once-in-a-lifetime educational tour through Europe, where he’ll experience history, culture, and new perspectives far beyond the classroom while stepping out of his comfort zone! As his mom, I can’t express how proud I am of him. Lucas has overcome so much — including anxiety and deep family challenges — yet he continues to grow, learn, and dream big. He’s the kind of kid who stays kind, even when life isn’t. A quiet leader. A deep thinker. A brave heart.

When he told me, “I want to go,” I knew this wasn’t just about travel — it was about transformation. A moment where courage beats fear, and faith leads the way.

I work full-time, while also building a career in real estate and business. My partner Isaiah helps support our home and has stepped in as the most incredible father figure, emotionally and financially. Still, the full cost of this tour is a stretch for our family — and we’ve already saved and covered a portion of it.

Lucas’s biological father has not been involved or supportive, but that hasn’t stopped Lucas from rising with grace and resilience.
