Help Lucas Recover After LVAD Surgery

Donation protected
I’m reaching out once again on my journey, hoping for better results this time. After spending 50 days in the hospital, I recently underwent LVAD surgery—my only option to stay alive while I wait for a heart transplant. Right now, I’m living with the help of medical devices, relying on batteries during the day and being plugged in at night just to keep going. I’ve only been home for about a week, and the adjustment has been overwhelming, but I’m grateful for the technology that’s keeping me here for my son and myself.

If my body continues to recover from this open-heart surgery, I hope to return to work in six weeks and be placed on the transplant list. I would love nothing more than to get back to work, maintain my bills, and make sure my son and I have a place to call home. But at this moment, I have no choice but to ask for help. It’s incredibly hard and honestly embarrassing, but I want to provide for myself and my son, and right now I can’t do it alone.

The funds raised will go toward medications and medical supplies that insurance doesn’t cover, as well as bills, food, fuel for doctor visits, and everyday living expenses. Please, if you can, donate or share my fundraiser. Your support means the world to us, and I am so blessed to be here and able to ask for your help. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can give.
