Help Lucas Compete in Drum Corps International

Hi there,
My name is Lucas Mociler and I am a student who wants to become a Math teacher. Upon recently transferring to California State University Fullerton, I am geared to further pursue education and ambitious projects. Recently, I have been given the opportunity to compete, as a performer, in Drum Corps International (DCI), and I require financial support for this next journey.
DCI is all about field shows, what I’ve done and loved for the last eight years, at a level I am excited to explore. Field shows are kind of like college halftime shows but at a level and production that is a large step above most colleges. By the end of the season there will be hundreds of hours poured into a single show, requiring discipline and growth that is challenging but beneficial and, most importantly, fun. Two years ago I found myself back at my high school as a marching band instructor in an effort to give back to that program. My staff and director recommended I pursue DCI to be a more effective educator and to take my final opportunity to perform in this activity. However, there is a cost to participate and this is what I need aid with.
The program not only demands excellence from its participants, but also requires $6000 per person to operate. Six-thousand dollars is what I need to pay in order to be in the program. So, I am asking personally, and sincerely, for help in attaining my first goal of $3800. Truly any amount donated would help no matter how small. This activity means a lot to me and I believe it truly is beneficial to my pathway and my enjoyment.
