Luca's journey in soccer began with a unique story. Initially drawn to Aussie Rules football in Albury, his passion for soccer blossomed, leading him to engage in both sports. His passion & thirst for competition eventually shifted entirely to soccer.

Beginning his soccer journey with St Pats Mini Roos, his passion for the game intensified over time. He transitioned to Wodonga Heart FC, facing challenges that pushed him to play in older age groups. Concurrently, Luca earned the honour of representing AWFA (Albury Wodonga Football Association) for two consecutive years. Seeking a higher level of competition, he then decided to elevate his soccer experience.

Every Saturday, Luca's parents and sister would make the journey from Albury/Wodonga to Melbourne for the Melbourne City soccer school. This commitment led to recognition from Melbourne club coaches, marking the inception of a new chapter in Luca's athletic pursuits.

The pursuit of excellence continued with multiple tryouts at various sporting academies, culminating in a one-week trial at the Rowville Sporting Academy, where Luca received an invitation to join. During this period, individuals affiliated with Dandenong City FC and the 12th Player academy approached Luca's mother, expressing interest in his talents. Subsequently, Luca tried out for both, earning acceptance and marking the commencement of his dream.

However, the realisation of Luca's soccer ambitions came with emotional complexities. The beginning of 2022 was bittersweet as Luca and his mother drove away from their Bellbridge home, leaving his father and sister behind—a symbolic sacrifice for the future of his soccer.
