Luka is my friend's beloved pet, and he means the world to all of us. Right now, Luka is in critical condition and is about to undergo a blood transfusion in hopes of raising his red blood cell count. The situation is urgent, and we are doing everything we can to help him heal and come home where he belongs. Our love for Luka runs deep, and seeing him in this state is heartbreaking for everyone who knows him.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward Luka’s medical bills and the cost of his blood transfusion. These treatments are essential for giving him the best chance at recovery and a long, happy life. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in Luka’s fight to get better.

We are reaching out to our community and beyond, asking for your support. Please consider donating or sharing Luka’s story to help him get the care he desperately needs. Your kindness and generosity can help give Luka the chance to continue living a joyful and healthy life with those who love him most.

update: They called us and said the transfusion worked great! His blood cell count is up and he’s much more energetic. she said he has made an impossible 180 in healing and was so close to dying yesterday.

The doctor has started speculating what the cause was and thinks it’s a blood bacteria (something he could have been born with or something he got as a kitten and it has been dormant) she is about to give him an antibiotic to see if it kills it! And then send his blood off for further testing. We will pick him up tomorrow and then continue with the antibiotics after that.

Update 2: The blood transfusion worked but the bacteria is fighting back and his red blood cell count is dropping. We approved them to do another blood transfusion and hope that will help him enough until the antibiotics to kill the bacteria kick in. They have a donor cat coming in to give blood for Luka.
