This is Kira speaking on behalf of my family for my Mother.

My Mom is a breast cancer survivor who has dedicated her life to helping children with learning disabilities and special needs. She is the most generous person I, and many others, have known. She has readily given her money, home, and time to others in their darkest moments, even when she had little to offer and has shown them kindness when they’ve needed it.

On Friday, February 13th, my Mom was told they found cancer in her uterus. At this moment in time, the only information we have is that it is aggressive, we do not know how far it has spread or the stage it is in. During her first fight with cancer, the doctors didn’t expect her to make it, but my Mom is a fighter and God gave her a miracle so she could stay for me and my sister.

I write this with shaking fingers and I’m scared. There is no one on Earth that I love more than my Mother and I’m scared for what the future holds for her.

To be frank, we are asking for donations for her medical bills and to subsidize her time away from work.

Thank you for considering my family and Mom worth your donations and time. I can’t be more grateful and I will never forget this.
