Help Luann While She Battles Cancer

My mother has always been the neighborhood mom. When I was a child, she was our town’s 4-H leader. As a teenager, she extended an ear or shoulder to any of my friends who needed it. Now, she needs a little help. Cancer is expensive, even with insurance. There are expenses that no one thinks about hiding around each corner. I’m starting this fundraiser in hopes that we can help provide a little more of a cushion so she doesn’t have to feel so stressed while she focuses on restoring her health.

Here is the situation in her own words…

I don’t know how to say this, as I am embarrassed that I even have to ask.

I need to raise at least $6,000.

For the last year most of you know I have been fighting STAGE IV SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA ANAL CANCER. I was doing great, I went into remission from November 2021 to the end of February 2022, where my tumor has come back. They now want to operate and remove my rectum, which would give me at least an 80% chance the cancer won’t return. And they will make my temporary colostomy to a permanent one, & if that prevents my cancer from returning it’s the least of my problems.

So, back to why I need $6,000 It’s for medical transportation as I need to be transported on a stretcher as I can’t sit for more 5 minutes. And it’s because I have to travel to MOFFITT CANCER INSTITUTE IN TAMPA and I live in Fort Myers and unfortunately there is no surgical team that can do the surgery I need.

So, please if you can find it heart to help me reach half my goal within a few weeks as I have to have tests done on the June 21, in Tampa Also that amount should cover 2 visits plus the day I need surgery.it would be greatly appreciated.
