Honestly, I don’t know where to begin with this post.... My badass Mom, Luana/Lulu, has fought cancer, four times over, and is still in the thick of her most formidable battle against extremely aggressive colon cancer, with the odds stack against her, it pisses me off that out of every aspect of this unpredictable, chaotic time in her life, it is financial burdens that cause the most grief in her life. Anyone who knows Lulu, knows her with a smile on her face (or because you can hear her laugh from a mile away); her name literally means “enjoyment,” and there’s no denying what a joy it is to have her in your presence, and in her life. Mom deserves more than anyone not to worry about how she’s going to afford being sick, or better yet, how she can enjoy the life she’s fought so hard to keep living. Lulu endlessly brightens the life of anyone that has the pleasure of meeting her and now I am reaching out for help to make sure she keeps on shining bright because she has been wasting all of her energy being the impressively resourceful mama she has always been to cover the expenses of life.
