I am Kim Huntington, the proud mom of my daughter MacKenzie and 19 of her teammates on the LSU Women's Club Volleyball team. This is a dedicated group of young athletes who embody the true spirit of perseverance, passion, and excellence both on and off the court.

These young women are not just committed to excelling in volleyball; they are also exceptional students who prioritize their education. Balancing rigorous academic schedules with intense training sessions is no easy feat, yet these remarkable young women continue to strive for greatness in every aspect of their lives. These are future doctors, entrepreneurs, business leaders, teachers, physical therapists, nurses, and attorneys.

The LSU Club Volleyball team is self-funded by the players. Dues are minimal to ensure that all who try out and make the team are able to participate without adding to their already exuberant college costs. To conserve funds, these young ladies drive their personal cars to out-of-state tournaments and sleep 4-5 per room. Expenses include uniforms, equipment, tournament fees, hotels, and many other essentials that are all covered by the dues and a few parents.

This is why we need your support. The cost to participate in the National Championship alone is more than $20,000.00! This season, these athletes will travel to Phoenix, AZ, April 17-19, 2025, to represent LSU in the National Championship. However, before they get to this tournament, they will make 5 trips to Texas to play in qualifiers. They have already traveled to the University of Alabama to participate in a preseason tournament where they finished 3rd.
