Hello! We are students at Loyola University Chicago currently enrolled in a War and War experience class. As we go through the class this semester one of the important things that is highlighted is the experience both of the people in war and the aftermath that the veterans in our community face afterwards. Unfortunately, many veterans who have served our country face many struggles in life, with some even struggling to meet basic needs that we often take for granted. Throughout the semester we will be working and volunteering for the VA in Chicago. As a part of our class, we are raising money that will go towards buying items for donation in attempt to provide items that will lighten the load for veterans and their families. Especially with the holiday season and winter coming up, these items become increasing important to those in our community who are struggling. Specifically for our group, we are donating clothing items that will include things such as jeans, cargo pants, and dockers. Everything we collect or buy will be donated at the beginning of December and will be taken to Jesse Brown VAMC. Anything that you can donate will be immensely helpful and much appreciated!
