Someone told me once that God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. 6 years...6 years of sacrifice, 6 years of cardiology visits, echocardiograms, and surgeries. 6 years of a little boy showing so much courage, bravery and strength. Showing everyone around him that if you just believe everything will be alright, it will be. My son has taught me more about strength in 6 years than I’ve learned in 29. But now we are down to his hopefully, last and final, surgery, which can only be done at the children’s hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was born with tans-disposition of the greater arteries, a VSD, pulmonary stenosis, and a blockage in his pulmonary valve. In this surgery, the surgeons will be using synthetic valves to reroute his heart to function as a normal heart would. It’s a 10 hour surgery that has several risks but better outcomes for his future. We will have to stay in Pennsylvania for almost 3 weeks to a month. I’m a single mother of this incredible, kind hearted little boy. I’m asking for help to pay expenses while we are up there including medical bills and to help with expenses back in Florida where we live. I’m doing whatever I can to get the best care for my son, but he also needs a home to come back too. Anything helps and will be greatly appreciated.
With love,
Lauren and Lowyn
