Help Lowell Long Jr. Rebuild After Tornado

Hello, many of you know me and know how difficult it is for me to ask for help. My name is Lowell Long Jr. I live in West Palm Beach, FL. We moved to Florida about four years ago to escape the cold and embrace the sunshine. We were quite aware of the potential scenario of encountering a hurricane, but we didn’t prepare ourselves for a tornado. Believe it or not, God Almighty protected our home and my family through this horrific event, but we do have a lot of cleanup, damages, and lots of material things that were lost.

The one thing about living in Florida is enjoying the outdoors, so we have spent a lot of time and money making a second home right outside our home. Right now, our second home is in shambles. Our lanai was completely ripped from our house. All of our storage, patio furniture, grills, shading from the sun when it was too hot, refrigerator full of food, fruit trees, exotic trees, bicycles, riding lawnmower, etc., were swept away in seconds.

I would like to think the insurance and FEMA will help us through this disaster, but I really don’t have faith in these systems. Family and friends have always been my true hope and foundation in our society that are always there for you in your worst times. I will appreciate any help you can offer, even if it comes in prayers or words of inspiration. I respect and appreciate each and every one of you.
