Help Lovette with life threatening renal disease

It is with both sorrow and great hope that I write this news. Our dear friend Lovette Lindsay is experiencing exceptionally unfortunate and difficult circumstances. I come to you today with a request for help and support. Lovette was diagnosed with acute kidney failure this summer and was promptly put into a medically induced coma to save her life. Since awakening, she has continued her battle against renal failure. As you may know, renal failure is a serious and life-altering condition that requires immediate attention and extensive medical intervention. Lovette is courageously facing the uncertainties that come with this condition. Despite the physical and emotional toll, she remains hopeful and determined to overcome this obstacle.

I believe that our generosity returns to us tenfold; Lovette’s big heart has inspired this simple law of the universe to be true for her in her time of difficulty. Lovette is not just a friend but a beacon of strength, kindness, and resilience. She has always been the first to lend a helping hand, and now, she needs our support more than ever. Lovette’s journey is marked by six-hour dialysis sessions three times a week, medical appointments, and the ever-present uncertainty of a kidney transplant. After a 20-plus-year social work career, it is impossible for Lovette to continue working and engage in her life-saving treatments. Lovette has served the people of Colorado in Head Start, child welfare, Medicaid, and, most recently, protection for vulnerable adults. One of the most burdensome effects of her disease is having to step away from her life’s work.

The financial burden of this has become overwhelming. As friends, family, and a community bound by compassion, we refuse to stand idly while Lovette faces this challenge alone. We have created this GoFundMe campaign to rally around Lovette and provide the financial support needed to alleviate the stress.
