I am Jimmy Smith and I'm asking the world to help my bestfriend while she currently goes through the lowest moments of her life. Lovetta (Vetty) Singleton is a 25 year old homeless woman currently in Newark, Delaware. She is the mother to 3 children all currently in foster care. Since meeting her in 2020, Lovetta has always maintained a happy, humorous, and calm persona to the world, but behind the scenes she held her shameful secret of homelessness. While doing the best she can to take care of her kids (ages 4, 1, and 5 months), Vetty has been unable to acquire the necessities needed to sustain a decent living situation for her family (i.e an I.D, shelter, food). At this current moment she is in the streets of Delaware sleeping in a tent (when one is available) due to lacking the paperwork and referrals needed to stay in local shelters. Winter is approaching and temperatures are getting lower day by day. Lovetta has to be the most innocent and kind hearted woman I've met and doesn't deserve to be a victim of circumstance and lack of resources. I've been a consistent help to her as much as I can but I'm afraid my efforts aren't enough to aid in her mission to fully get on her feet, provide for herself, and regain custody of her children. Lovetta has just about reached her limits emotionally and is considering giving up, but I told her to be patient just a little while longer. This is my dedication to help her.
