Lisa’s Farewell Fund ♥️

On the 24th of May 2025, our lives changed in an instant. My amazing mum, Lisa, and my wonderful dad, Jago, were doing something so ordinary - booking a well-earned holiday together. Mum popped upstairs to grab something and suddenly collapsed. Out of nowhere, she suffered a catastrophic subarachnoid haemorrhage - a life-threatening bleed on the brain - caused by an undiagnosed 10mm aneurysm.

She fought incredibly hard for 13 days. But heartbreakingly, she suffered another bleed which left her brain dead. Her life support had to be withdrawn, and we said our final goodbye on Sunday 8th July 2025.

Asking for help like this is something none of us ever imagined doing. My dad is a proud man, and reaching out for support does not come easily to him. When I first set up this page — under the title “Help Us Bring Lisa Home ♥️” — it was with hope in my heart that she might return to us and we’d adapt to a new way of life together. Having to rewrite this now, with such a different outcome, has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.

Mum spent her life caring for others - always smiling, always radiating warmth and kindness. She lit up every room she walked into. Now, it’s our turn to care for her, and to give her the farewell she so deeply deserves.
