Hello everyone,

As many of you know, Hurricane Melissa has left widespread devastation across several communities. As a first-generation American born to Jamaican parents, with strong roots to the island, this impacts me deeply. While I understand that countless people have been affected, I’m focusing my efforts on a small group of friends and family members who are facing immediate and critical needs.

Over the past few days, I’ve spoken with several of them to understand the extent of the damage and what’s most urgently needed. Many are still without power and water and don’t know when services will be restored. Common needs include:

Funds collected will go directly toward purchasing these essentials and supporting rebuilding efforts for the identified families. If you prefer not to send cash donations, I’ve also created an Amazon Wish List of needed supplies that will be packed and shipped directly to those affected.
