Help Lourdes receive urgent medical transport and care

Dear Friends,

We are reaching out with a heartfelt plea for support on behalf of our beloved friend / member of our family who started as our housekeeper, Lourdes, who has been a cherished part of our family for over 30 years. Recently, she suffered a stroke that has left her paralyzed from the neck-down on one side of her body, and we are devastated by the challenges she now faces.

She requires (1) medical transport back to the Philippines, where she will be cared for by her family (after decades of being away from them while working in the US to support them), and (2) prolonged rehabilitation and medical care once she is home. She is working hard during her rehab at Inova Hospital, but the hospital intends to discharge her this week. The remaining financial, physical, and emotional challenges she faces are overwhelming.

Her journey ahead will be long, and the financial burden is overwhelming. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in her ability to return home and receive the care she so desperately needs.
