My name is Mauribelys Machado and I am raising funds to help my mother, Lourdes María Ferrer de Machado, who lives in Caracas, Venezuela.

She has recently been diagnosed with cervical cancer (adenocarcinoma endocervical), a serious and aggressive disease that requires urgent treatment. Doctors have recommended a combination of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and brachytherapy in order to fight the cancer and give her a chance to recover.

Unfortunately, in Venezuela most cancer treatments must be paid for by the patient and their family. The cost of treatment is extremely high and far beyond what our family can afford. Just one part of the treatment, brachytherapy, costs more than $6,000, not including medications, medical tests, hospital expenses, and other related costs.

My mother is a loving woman, mother, and grandmother who has always cared deeply for her family. Seeing her face this battle without the necessary resources has been heartbreaking for all of us.

We are humbly asking for your support so she can receive the medical treatment she urgently needs. The funds raised will go directly toward her cancer treatment, medical procedures, medications, and hospital expenses.
