The Louisiana Private Studio trumpet ensemble is a remarkable group of six high school students from Dutchtown, Walker, and St. Amant High Schools who have achieved something truly special. Recently, they were ranked in the top 10 trumpet ensembles in the nation, making them the only high school group from Louisiana to earn this honor. Their dedication and talent have earned them an invitation to the prestigious National Trumpet Competition in Iowa, an opportunity that comes with significant travel, lodging, meal, and competition fee expenses.

These students have poured their hearts into their music, often sacrificing their limited free time to practice and perfect their craft. Two of the ensemble members serve as drum majors in their high school bands, and all six are active in highly competitive music programs. What makes their journey even more impressive is that they have prepared for this competition completely independently, driven by their passion and commitment to excellence.

The funds raised will help cover transportation for the students, their lessons instructor—a local band director who recognized their potential—and their parents. The group will stay in a hotel near the event, giving them the chance to practice, compete, and be inspired by elite and professional trumpet players from across the country. Meals and competition fees are also a factor, and every contribution will help ease the financial burden on these talented young musicians and their families.
