Hi, my name is Louise. I’m reaching out because I am facing some unexpected challenges, and I could really use a little help to stay independent.
I’m disabled, which means I rely on my car to get to hospital and doctors’ appointments, run errands, and manage daily life. Recently, my car broke down again—right before a hospital procedure—and the repairs are more than I can afford right now. Without it, even simple things like getting essential medical care become incredibly difficult, leaving me feeling isolated and anxious.
On top of that, our tumble dryer is breaking down, our second-hand fridge is at the end of its life, and our mattress needs to be replaced because our cat peed on it. These might seem like small things, but they make a huge difference in my ability to manage daily life and maintain my health. Doing laundry by hand, struggling with a worn-out mattress, and trying to keep food properly stored is exhausting and stressful, and having these essentials would make my days so much easier.
Living with these challenges every day can feel overwhelming. Tasks that many people take for granted—getting to appointments, keeping my home comfortable, staying on top of daily chores—become constant sources of worry. I’ve always tried to manage on my own, but right now, I’m stretched thin.
Any contribution—no matter how small—would mean the world to me. Even if you’re not able to donate, sharing my story with others would help more than you know. I’m so grateful for any support, and I promise to pay this kindness forward when I’m able.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
— Louise
