Louise is only 33 years old — a devoted wife to Abdo and a loving mother to two beautiful little girls, Eden and Jasmine.
If you know Louise, you know her heart. She is gentle, faith-filled, and endlessly selfless, the kind of person who has always shown up for others without hesitation.
Today, she needs us to show up for her.
Just months after becoming a first-time mum at age 30, Louise found a lump in her breast. That moment changed everything. She was diagnosed with breast cancer and faced surgery and treatment while learning how to care for her newborn daughter. Through fear, pain and uncertainty, she carried herself with extraordinary strength.
After treatment, Louise was told there was no detectable cancer. Life slowly began to feel hopeful again. She dreamed of growing her family and not long after, she fell pregnant with her second daughter, Jasmine. With close monitoring from her medical team, everything seemed stable.
Then, at just 21 weeks pregnant, devastating news arrived.
Her cancer had returned, this time spread to her spine, liver, pelvis and chest.
While carrying her unborn baby, Louise was suddenly fighting for her life.
With unimaginable courage and deep faith, she continued her pregnancy for as long as her body allowed, even undergoing chemotherapy while pregnant. At 26.5 weeks, with no other safe option, Jasmine was born prematurely so Louise could begin urgent treatment. Jasmine spent four long months in NICU, fighting for her tiny life while Louise fought for hers through intensive therapy.
By the grace of God, the treatment worked at the time. There was hope again.
But the cost was immense.
Chemotherapy and ongoing treatment left lasting damage to Louise’s body. She lost the ability to walk for three months and had to fight through rehabilitation to stand again all while caring for a premature baby and raising a toddler. Despite everything, she continued to show up with love, strength and grace for her family.
For a while, it felt like they could finally breathe.
Now, Louise is facing another heartbreaking chapter.
Her cancer has progressed again, now affecting her lungs, bones and liver, with tumours and lesions requiring urgent treatment. Her body is extremely fragile and underweight, and her bones have been significantly weakened, recently sustaining spinal fractures simply from lying flat during an MRI scan.
Every day is a battle with pain and uncertainty.
Louise now relies on strong pain medication, including morphine, simply to manage daily tasks while living with the intense pain of spinal fractures and bone involvement. Despite this, she continues to fight with remarkable courage and unwavering faith.
Louise currently relies on the Disability Support Pension, and as her condition becomes more complex, Abdo may need to step away from work and return to a pension so he can care for Louise full-time and support their two young daughters during this critical time.
The emotional and financial weight on this young family is overwhelming.
We are raising funds to help:
• Support Louise’s urgent and ongoing medical care
• Ease the immense financial pressure on her young family
• Fund supportive therapies to strengthen her fragile body and improve quality of life
• Explore additional treatment options, including overseas therapies that may offer hope beyond standard pathways
• Allow Abdo to remain present as a husband, father and carer without the constant stress of financial survival.
Before illness changed her life, Louise worked supporting vulnerable families through the NDIS as an Early Intervention Coordinator for children in need, as well as an NDIS Support Coordinator, helping individuals and families navigate complex plans, access services, and feel supported during some of the hardest seasons of their lives. She has always been the one guiding others through uncertainty with compassion and strength.
Now she needs a community to lift her.
If you are able to donate, no matter how small, your support will help Louise focus on what matters most — healing, motherhood, and time with her family.
And if you cannot give financially, we ask for your prayers. Pray for strength. Pray for peace. Pray for restoration. Pray for a miracle. Faith has carried Louise through before, and we believe it will carry her again.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing beside Louise, Abdo, Eden and Jasmine during the fight of their lives.
With love and gratitude,
Nicky & Maria
