I’m hoping to raise funds for my best friend Louis. Louis is an almost 14 year old shih tzu who has brought so much joy into my life and everyone that has ever encountered his smiling face.

Earlier this year Louis was diagnosed with congestive heart failure along with an enlarged heart. His big heart is leaking fluid and causing his respiratory issues. He was responding well to the medication until recently but in the past week his health has taken a drastic turn. I’m devastated to share that fluid is building up in his lungs and my poor baby is back in heart failure.

Louis has had 3 emergency vet visits over the span of about 2 weeks. Each time they had to drain the fluid in his lungs and keep him for hours in an oxygen cage to stabilize his breathing. He is on daily medication and I know he has so much more life to live.

I am determined to do all I can to bring Louis back to good health. I believe his spirit to live and enjoy walks is giving him the strength to continuing fighting.

I would not typically share this personal news and I am not one to share when I’m down. But the vet bills have become overwhelming and have already amass about 5k in charges from his recent vet visits. On top of his current bills, Louis will need additional treatment and testing. All funds will be used to cover Louis current vet bills, medication and future medical needs he will require.
