Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for Louie, a sweet 3-month-old male kitten who recently suffered a serious leg injury.
After a veterinary examination and X-ray, we learned that Louie’s femur near the hip joint is fractured and partially dislocated. He’s currently in a temporary cast to help manage the pain, but this is only a short-term measure. The vet has confirmed that Louie urgently needs orthopedic surgery to properly heal and walk again.
The estimated cost of surgery is between $3,000 and $5,000, depending on the clinic and necessary aftercare. If we delay too long, the bone may start to fuse incorrectly, which could complicate the surgery or lead to permanent disability.
We’ve reached out to several rescue groups, but many have offered help only if we surrender Louie permanently or, in heartbreaking cases, suggested amputation as a more affordable option. Louie is like family and we are committed to doing everything we can to keep him safe and give him the chance he deserves.
This fundraiser is our best hope to cover the cost of surgery and keep Louie in the home he knows and loves.
If you’re able to donate anything, no matter how small, it would mean the world to us.
And if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this link with friends, rescue groups, or anyone who may be able to help.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
