Hello everyone, so this is not usually something I would ever do but we have truly weighed out all of our other options and this is us coming here as a last resort. Our sweet boy Louie recently had to go to the vet because his shoulder was bothering him, we originally thought maybe he slipped on the ice or hurt himself playing with his sister. Unfortunately after taking him in we found out it is much more serious than we expected. Louie was injured pretty badly as a puppy and his shoulder never healed correctly, fast forward 3+ years later and it is now catching up to him.

Right now it is somewhat manageable with pain medication but this is only temporary, he will need surgery sooner rather than later and we do not want to wait until it gets worse. It absolutely breaks our hearts seeing him in pain and knowing there is only so much we can do for him right now.

We recently bought our first home at the end of October and have run into far more problems than we ever expected so early on, most of our money has gone toward unexpected repairs. On top of that we are preparing to welcome our daughter any day now and trying our best to make sure she has everything she needs. I also had to stop working over two months ago due to some physical difficulties during my pregnancy, being on my feet for more than 5 hours became too much for me. Since then we have been living off of one income to cover everything.

We never imagined we would be in a position where we would have to ask for help, but right now we simply do not have the finances to give Louie the surgery he needs. Watching him struggle and knowing we can only give him cheap over the counter medicine is heartbreaking.
