Louie is our 5-year-old family dog, a yorkie pitbull mix with a huge personality and so much love to give. He’s always been the heart of our home, bringing joy and laughter to our family every day. Recently, we noticed Louie wasn’t acting like himself, and after a visit to the vet, we received heartbreaking news: Louie is bleeding internally into his abdomen. The cause could be a mass on his spleen, liver, or another organ, and the only way to know for sure is through a costly and risky surgery.
We made the difficult decision to go ahead with the surgery, knowing there’s a chance Louie may not make it through. If the bleeding is from his spleen, it can be removed, but if it’s from his liver or another organ, there may be nothing the doctors can do. To make things even harder, we learned that two out of three times, a mass like this is cancerous. Our family is devastated, especially after recently losing our beloved dog Susie to cancer.
We are asking for prayers and support as we try to give Louie the best chance possible. The funds raised will help cover his surgery and the care he’ll need during recovery, especially if he needs further treatment for cancer. Any help you can give—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing Louie’s story—means the world to us. Thank you for being there for our family and for Louie.
