Help Louie Fight On!

On the morning of February 3, 2022, Louie and Marisa’s world was turned upside-down. At 50 years of age, Louie suffered a massive heart-attack. He was rushed to St. Joe’s Medical Center in Burbank, CA and was immediately taken in for life-saving, emergency surgery. After hours of surgery, the doctors told Marisa that Louie was very sick and that his response within the next 24 hours would be crucial. The situation was grim. The doctors had put Louie on a ventilator and a heart machine so that his body could try to rest and recover. If you know Louie, however, you know that he is stubborn. More importantly, Louie is a fighter. “Fight on!” became the mantra that Marisa spoke in Louie’s ear, as she sat by his bedside and pleaded for a miracle. Her prayers have been answered and the doctors are now feeling very positive about Louie’s recovery.

Living life during the COVID-19 pandemic has been a difficult adjustment for all of us. Louie and Marisa have faced significant challenges during these past two years. They have faced changes in employment and consequently, insurance coverage, which now loom as tremendous burdens. The hospital bills are building and Louie's future medical care will be expensive.

Marisa has been there for so many people through the years and we all know that Louie would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. Now it is our turn to help them. So many of you have asked how you can help them during this difficult time.
