My best friend's son's dog, Louie, has always been a bright spot in many lives. Recently, Louie was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia, a life-threatening disease that has turned their world upside down. After rushing him to Virginia Tech for emergency treatment, including a blood transfusion and a heavy regime of immune suppressants, the costs quickly became overwhelming. While Louie hasn't needed another transfusion yet, he is still urinating blood, his gums are pale, and he just isn't himself. He needs to be closely monitored, and ideally, he should be in the puppy hospital, but my friend's son has spent his last dime trying to save his beloved companion.
Louie will be 8 years old this June and still has so much life and love to give. He has the sweetest soul and is one of my family's favorites. My girls are heartbroken that he can't be around anyone right now and are hoping to see him playing in the yard again soon. The road ahead is uncertain, and Louie will need life-saving medication for the rest of his life. Any help would be deeply appreciated. We can provide receipts for all expenses, and there is even an option to send funds directly to the Virginia Tech vet. Your support will make a world of difference for Louie and his family as they fight to give him the best chance at recovery.
