Hi, my name is Louie Butter and I am 3. When I was 5 months old, I was diagnosed with an extrahepatic portosystemic shunt and went through extreme testing and major surgery when I was 6 months old. That alone cost my mom around $17,000-$18,000. I then ended up in the hospital with pancreatitis, and it seemed like I was never going to be healthy. I finally got over the hump of sickness until last summer. I then had to go through brachycephalic surgery where they widened my nares, shortened my soft palate, and when they got down to remove extra tissue in my larynx, they discovered I was in stage 3 laryngeal collapse. They told my mom the only way to help would be a permanent tracheotomy. Mom prayed and prayed and researched for 2 weeks until my appointment where she decided not to do the trach. She decided to just give me the best life I could possibly have while I’m still here with her, and that she has. On top of prior surgeries and testing, mom has spent roughly $24,000 saving my life. She is finally down to about $4,000 and is having trouble paying it off just due to the world being so expensive and interest on the card it’s on. She hates asking for handouts, but we both just want this part of our lives behind us so we can just focus on me having the best life. Please consider donating and helping my mom finish paying off my last surgery. Continue to pray for good health and strength for me as well. God bless all and thank you to the pug community
