As many of you know, my parents and brother were to move to Dallas, Texas on May 12th. A week before the move, my dad went into cardiac arrest and was rushed by ambulance to St Anne’s hospital in Toledo, Ohio. After a battle of stabilizing him, he was finally released just days before the trip. That same night, he collapsed at home and was emitted into the ICU. We were informed that he is now in the final stages of heart failure.

It has been over a month, and my dad is still in a rehab facility in Toledo and unfortunately is not improving. He only weighs 150 pounds now and requires 24/7 care which my mom so lovingly provides - from helping him eat, dressing him, and all the normal human day to day needs.

Their home is now in Texas. All of their belongings have arrived and my brother and I have been busy preparing their new home. My mom has been staying with family in Toledo until my dad is finally released.

Due to these unforeseen circumstances, my mom has been unable to work and medical bills are coming in on top of everyday bills. We were informed that my dad is too weak to take the trip by car and will need to be transported, with assistance, by plane to Texas. Plus with their only vehicle needing AC repairs (parts needed are on indefinite back order) it will have to be transported here by truck since temperatures are reaching up to 100+ degrees from Ohio to Texas.

We just want to get my dad to his new home so we can spend his remaining days together as a family. Our hope is that doctors in Dallas will be able to provide better care and direction on helping him get stronger. Our faith is in the Lord and although it may be hard to see it, we know His hand is guiding every step of the way.
