Help Lou and Lou's friends replace damaged items during the flooding of their apartment on Friday, March 13th!

This is Amanda, Lou's mom. Imagine waking up in the morning with your bedding and clothing soaked. Lou and Lou's roommates woke up feeling wet and realized their apartment was flooded with several inches of water. Trying to contact proper help and get help sadly didn't change the situation. The issue continued to get worse as the storm waters kept rising. Everything from their beds to clothing, electronics, precious memories and many other valuables were ruined beyond saving. While a roommate tried to use a shop vac to get water out it just kept coming in. In a short amount of time there is a layer of slime/mold not just on the surface of the floor but on some of their items as well.

While I know we cannot restore the pictures and memories, we can do a lot to help. They are in immediate need of clothing, furniture, electronics, bedding - including mattresses, linens, etc... Both roommates are disabled and one has an online job where he needs a

laptop to do his job.

My hope is that we can unite and help them. They have helped countless people in their community find safe housing, transport people to safer communities who were in domestic violence situations, find food and clothing, paid out of their own pocket for dental and medical care for others as well as sending care packages to those in need. This kiddo of mine is always trying to find ways to help other people. It is my hope that we can help them in their immediate time of need.
