Help Losh Voigt Kick Cancer

I could never have imagined this! My name is Marlene Voigt, and I am fundraising for my son Losh Voigt.

Losh, my only child, has stage 4 kidney cancer which has spread to his lungs. Losh is the loving husband to Jennifer my dear daughter-in-love, father to my six grandchildren and grandfather to the newest family member, Twila, my first great-grandchild.

Everyone who knows Losh loves him and Jennifer too. They have been the most incredible giving people all their lives. Losh is a fun-loving, generous person with great stories to tell. He is always ready to lend a helping hand to family, friends, neighbors, strangers. Being multi-talented, he has volunteered with Foodshare, tee ball and soccer coaching. Losh freely gives his labor to make car and house repairs for young and old alike. He's the guy who is always there to help people move and work on church projects. We just experienced the mega hurricane Ian here in Port Charlotte, and Losh was volunteering with recovery teams to help the devastated until Chemo drained his energy. He just got approved to start the immunotherapy part of his treatments next week.

Losh and Jenn felt called to take in foster children early in their marriage and did so for 13 years. They have three bio children and adopted three children from among the 13 children they fostered. (Their vision was for the reunification of children with parents where possible, and they celebrated 4 successful reunifications)

Why am I fundraising? Losh and Jenn like being the helpers, not asking for help. My goal is to ease the financial pressures weighing them down so they can focus all their energy and efforts on beating this cancer with the best treatments possible. Between medical bills, hurricane damage to their home, loss of income from Losh's inability to work, and travel expenses for treatments, the bills have piled up. Jenn's work has also been impacted as she takes time out to accompany Losh to his treatments in Orlando. They need some help.
