Help Los Perros to build a new greenhouse

-Last year we invested heavily in time, effort and money to build a greenhouse which would enable the farm to continue to develop. Heartbreakingly, last weeks storms completely destroyed the greenhouse. It’s been completely heartbreaking & difficult to comprehend, but after posting the story on Instagram/Facebook the response from the community was so full of love & positive energy. THANK YOU.
Los Perros Urban Farming started back in 2013 by myself, Buddha, with Sofia, making it Sweden’s oldest commercial urban farm.
Recently we have decided to make a BIG change to our Urban Farm. Sofia has decided to step away from Los Perros Urban Farming & focus her time on a different adventure. I am determined to continue running the farm alongside the team of wonderful volunteers but re-building the greenhouse is fundamental to the farms operations.
Los Perros Urban Farming grows over 100 different crops each year, delivering by bike to many of Malmö’s best restaurants, including our own Café, Flax, which was also just awarded Malmö Best Café! Other crops are turned into kimchi, chilli sauces & much more under the new name of Pepper Pepper Deli as well.
3 years ago together with some friends we also started REKO-Ring Malmö, which now is a space for both producers & locals to buy direct from farmers & helping to create food awareness & minimise food waste. Safe to say, lifting local food & food awareness is what I strive for in life!
The farm is a labour of love, and it does not generate the money needed to re-build the greenhouse or the other improvements that are overdue. The suggestion of crowdfunding came up from the community. So I have decided to take the step & reach out & ask for help, even though it feels a bit awkward doing so. I figure reaching out for help is much better than giving up!
If I can raise this money I will be able to build a new greenhouse, build a wind break around the entire farm & make other necessary improvements to create a better working environment.
Every amount donated will help to make improvements & will make a huge difference, no matter the amount.
