Hi,
**update
Our original goal was $4000. I didn't realize I had the settings to allow gofundme to start lower and go up in increments.
when my husband and I added the expense of this wish, $4000 was a healthy amount. we are feeling so incredible blessed with all of your support. I really want to keep going so we can have all expenses covered.
Please help me support Lorraine's final wish! She is a dear friend and I am doing all that I can to support her!
Lorraine is a loving wife of 27 years, mother to a 22-year old daughter, and has always put everyone else's needs above her own. Today, she faces a devastating new reality after being diagnosed with Huntington’s disease -a progressive neurological illness that gradually affects movement, cognition, and independence.
While there is no cure, there is still time. Time for joy. Time for memories. Time to experience the beauty of life while she can fully take it in.
One of her last requests is to travel across Newfoundland—to see its rugged coastlines, small towns, and breathtaking landscapes that reflect both strength and resilience. She hopes to make this journey while her health still allows her to truly savor the experience with her family.
This trip isn’t just a vacation. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create lasting memories with her family before Huntington’s disease places further limits on her body and mind.
We are raising funds to help cover travel; accommodations, accessibility needs, and related expenses so that finances don’t stand in the way of this meaningful journey. Any donation—no matter the size—will help give her the chance to experience Newfoundland with dignity, joy, and a full heart.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page or keeping Lorraine and her family in your thoughts means more than you know.
Thank you for helping turn this dream into a memory that will last forever.
With gratitude,
The family and friends of Lorraine
