Help Lorraine Stand, Fight & Win Against Cancer

METASTASIS. One word can change your entire life. When Lorraine was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer almost 15 years ago, our lives were forever changed. She underwent radical lifesaving surgery and months of chemotherapy that included the diabolical "Red Devil". However intense the nausea and bone pain, she did not lose her

faith in God but instead, met the monster face on and battled into remission. She stood, she fought, and she had won.

Three weeks ago, we were told that the monster had awakened within her body and the news shocked us to our core. Our mom will now face another battle with breast cancer, but this time the monster had metastasized to multiple sites including her liver, hip, spine, and her brain. Since our initial appointment, our mom has undergone a PET scan, three MRis, a liver biopsy, and a battery of bloodwork. Although there is much that we still do not know, there is no question that Lorraine will require radiation, chemo, and perhaps surgery to remove some of the tumors. Without these costly but life-saving interventions, the cancer will continue to invade healthy tissue and shatter her prognosis and our hearts.

Lorraine will be unable to work throughout her treatment and even though she has insurance, coverage for many of her procedures have already been denied, leading to tremendous out-of-pocket expenses within the past three weeks. John and Lorraine have paid $9,200.00 since her diagnosis less than one month ago and she will begin chemotherapy soon. Please consider providing financial aid that will be used to pay for radiation, chemo, pain medications, surgery, and that will aid her household while she is unable to work.
