Help Lorraine Keene Mineweaser kick cancer’s butt
Our mom has negative anaplastic large T-cell lymphoma diagnosed in June of 2019, this is her third recurrence of the disease since then. She has gone through multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. As a last resort she is being accepted into a clinical trial in Chapel Hill North Carolina at the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. While her primary tumor on the left side of her head has improved she now has multiple metastatic tumors throughout the rest of her body. Please help her heal from this disease.
Donations are needed so she can go to Chapel Hill North Carolina for treatment roughly 5 hours from her home in Summerville South Carolina. She will need to stay in NC for a full six weeks of initial treatment, and then return for an eight week follow-up, plus additional follow-ups every three months for the first year after treatment. While insurance will cover the treatment it will not pay for any of the other costs she will incur like a hotel to live in for six weeks, food and travel expenses.
Lorraine is the mother of three Randy Keene, Erick Keene and Kristy Keene Marstaller, she is also a 75 year old grandmother who is raising her grandson Zander Keene and wants to be around as long as she can for all of us.
Lorraine is an amazing cook and loves to feed everyone. She can make food from almost every country, her gulumpkis (polish cabbage rolls are the best) along with her sauerbraten (German pot roast).
She is a wonderful and loving mother. Even if she is not your biological mother she will take care of you like you were family. She loves music and used to love to dance. She enjoys fishing and would like to be able to do more of it with her grandson. She loves to laugh and just hang out to watch a movie or reminisce about the good old days.
