Help Lori's Sons Through This Difficult Time

Heaven gained another angel on Nov 20th, 2024…our dear friend Lori Yanagisawa gained her wings, succumbing to a stroke that took her life so abruptly. To many, she was a friend, but everyone that knew her, knew her most important role here on earth was being Mama to Andre (18) and Kai (12).

She loved her boys so deeply and dedicated her life to them, as a single mom, raising them to be the amazing, kind-hearted, gentle but strong, intelligent, athletic, community-serving young men that they are. In many moments, she’d share with me that she dreamed of seeing them grow and find success, instilling in them that with hard work and dedication they could achieve all of their dreams. It was her greatest joy watching them play sports and do well in school.

We shared the last 4 years watching our kids, who are dear friends, go through high school at ST PAUL, and share in so many beautiful moments and teenage adventures. We watched them graduate together and celebrated the next chapter in their lives. This fall, she moved Andre out of state for his freshman year in college. This was undoubtedly a tremendously proud moment for her.

This crowdfunding effort is dedicated to her boys, Andre and Kai. They are going through such a devastating loss in a time of year that should be filled with so much joy, transitioning into life without her physical presence. The financial pressures that are imminent should not be something they have to worry about. It is our hope and prayer that we can come together as their community to bring them any sort of financial relief possible.

No amount is too small, and all is so deeply appreciated. A mamas love is so strong and powerful it will transcend many lifetimes, help us cover them in their mom’s love during this difficult time.
