Hi friends,
Our good friend and neighbor, Lori Sopher recently went in for what she thought was a minor surgery to remove a benign cyst from her knee. However, after the surgeon removed the cyst, he discovered it is actually a rare and aggressive form of cancer, known as Spindle Cell Sarcoma. This prompted an immediate additional surgery to remove as much of the cancer as possible without completely destroying her knee. This second surgery was performed Wednesday, March 16th.
Lori, now as has an uphill battle, financially and physically, as she is waiting to learn what stage of the cancer she is in. In addition, she will need weeks of in-home care and physical therapy on her road to recovery. We are hoping for the best outcome for our friend.
Lori has always been the person her friends and family can count on. Including Bruno, who loves to photobomb all Lori's pics. Now we would love to support her and alleviate some of her costs, so she can concentrate on getting healthy. Any little bit can help. Thank you for anything you can give.
