Final update: Our hearts are broken as we share that our sweet mom has passed away. She was truly the center of our world. She gave so much, always loving, and always there when we needed her. There are no words big enough to describe the hole she leaves in our lives, but we will carry her love with us forever. We’re so grateful for the time we had with her, the memories we’ll hold onto, and the lessons she taught us about strength and unconditional love. We are thankful that she is no longer in pain and was at peace when she left her life here on Earth.
UPDATE FROM 8/16/25:
Unfortunately my mother's condition isn't getting any better with IV antibiotics which is only one of the three treatments/ procedures she would need to recover. The other two procedures would be putting in a pacemaker to help the heart pump because the bottom chamber of her heart has stopped and open heart surgery to fix her valve that was just replaced in May. She is not a candidate for either of these procedures at this time, nor does she wish to pursue them as there are so many factors, unknowns, and immense pain. With that being said, after all she has been through, today my family and I made the difficult decision to support my mother's wishes and transfer her to comfort care /hospice care. This has been one of the most difficult times for our family. We have been spending as much time with her as possible, which has meant taking many days off work. Along with lost income, the costs of traveling back and forth, gas, meals on the road, and unexpected medical bills have quickly added up.
We are reaching out for support during this heartbreaking season to help ease the financial burden so we can focus on being with our mom in her final days. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward covering these expenses. Our family deeply appreciates your kindness, prayers, and support.
UPDATE! My mom is back in the hospital battling a severe infection in her blood stream and a 3RD leaky heart valve. HER hospital stay is expected to be long and then hopefully will be able to transfer to a rehabilitation center to gain strength. Please keep her in all your higher power thoughts!
Dear friends, family, and supporters,
My mom Lori, the glue of our family, is in the hospital. She has been here since Thursday, April 24th, with a long road ahead of her. She is facing open-heart surgery for the third time in 7 years. Her valve needs to be replaced due to it not working properly and an infection. My family and I have spent countless hours here with her to be by her side during her time of need. With that comes many unexpected expenses, including medical, gas, meals, etc. If you are able to donate, any amount is greatly appreciated. If you find yourself unable to help monetarily, a simple share, prayers, and good vibes are just as appreciated. Thank you all in advance for your consideration and support.
